On Tuesday in Lignano, Italy, former Oregon runner Jordan McNamara ran 3:37.19 in the 1,500 meters — the latest in a string of strong European performances by the Auburn, Wash. native.
McNamara, who always seemed on the cusp of a breakthrough at Oregon but never quite punched through, has also run PR times at Dublin, Ireland and Liege, Belgium. You can check out McNamara’s blog here.
Meanwhile, recent Oregon grad A.J. Acosta also performed well in Lignano, placing fifth in 3:38.64.
In the same meet, Khadevis Robinson continued an age-defying summer, winning the 800 in 1:44.45.
