Want to know what substances are banned in 2013? There’s an app for that

WADA Prohibited List 2013 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App StoreThe World Anti-Doping Agency has updated it’s iPhone app, WADA Prohibited List 2013.

According to WADA:

The List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (List), is the International Standard that designates what is prohibited in- and out-of-competition. The List also indicates whether particular substances are banned in particular sports. The List is updated annually.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is the international independent organization responsible for promoting, coordinating, and monitoring the fight against doping in sport in all its forms.

WADA works towards a vision of the world that values and fosters doping free sport.

If we are truly committed to cleaning up the sport, I’d like to see an open database that features the medications and athletes that have been given Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE).  But that’s a topic for another time.

You can visit the iTunes page about the app and download the iOs app here.  There’s no version currently available for Android or Blackberry.
